Abstract

This article deals with the typologies of military police officers in prison in the PMCE prison, having as a central point the reflection on how to enlist the possible relational plots from the social positions that police prisoners occupy in prison sociability networks. In summary, we seek to understand how the social, cultural and political cartographies of groups of prisoners interfere in the functioning of the prison. The analysis focuses on two groups: “temporary prisoners” and “former or permanent prisoners”. We emphasize that the work is theoretically and methodologically based on two years of field research, guided by the ethnographic perspective, in the PMCE prison.
