Abstract

The scientific field has been built as a space of male hegemony. This came as an offshoot of the seemingly disconnected multiple social, economic, historical and cultural processes. In this sense, this article aims to understand how the theories that mark a supposed modernity in science have contributed greatly to the legitimation and updating of a territorial and hierarchical segregation existing in the formal locus of scientific production, demonstrating some of the intellectual constructions that forged a stereotype. disability of women with regard to scientific and technological matters. In fact, females have always participated in the construction of this field, but their presence has fallen and is still invisible.
