Abstract

This article refers to some impressions and an initial research effort on the lifestyles of a group of northeastern Brazilians who live in Rome and come from several states such as Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Piaui, Bahia. The questions that follow are personal impressions, the result of dialogue, living with Northeastern people and discussions about their presence in Rome, about the impacts of arrival, their life trajectories, as well as the relations between them and the other groups, with special attention. the domestic workers. Reflecting ways in which these northeasterns, upon arriving in the city of Rome / Italy, lived processes that contributed to changes in lifestyles, realizing their differences, accommodations and / or resistances is one of the main concerns of the study. In order to develop this work the resource of the methodology of the
 oral history, considering primarily the narratives of these northeasterns. Through the statements, there was a selection of narratives that were directly linked to issues such as: life in the city, the trajectories and experiences in the work aspect, housing, language, relationships with other groups.
