Abstract

This research aims to reflect on how young women who comply with socio-educational measures in an educational center understand the phenomenon of violence. We start from the concept of adolescence brought by the Socio-Historical Psychology, the study about adolescents who are authors of infringing acts and different theoretical references about the concept (s) of Violence. We conducted interviews with two young women who meet socio-educational measures at the Aldaci Barbosa Mota Educational Center (CEABM). As a way of phenomenological analysis of the data, we reflect on the experience of young women, providing a "meeting" between their speeches and the chosen theoretical framework. With this study, we intend to broaden the field of reflection and discussions on the subject, as well as contribute to the work performed by professionals who deal with young people who have committed an offense or who live in situations of social risk.
