Abstract

This paper reports the class aesthetics of a social group that was called pirangueiro. From an observational research, with reference support on the theories of habitus and field, in Bourdieu, based on flanagem technique, has reconstructed the idea of the subfield of fashion resistance, which presents itself as opposed to the field of dominant fashion. With this fashion resistance, the young pirangueiro brings an element of self-distinction and at the same time, a prejudice criteria.
