Abstract

The Female Police Force of Parana was established in 1977 and in 2000, was extinguished, and the effective incorporated into the overall framework. Throughout this period it was built legislation that legitimized and identified the Female Police. The aim of this article is to discuss the definition of the activities attributed to them, as part of the assignment of an identity for the Women Police and law enforcement process. For this analysis were selected institutional sources, which are problematized from gender and identity concepts.
