Abstract

The research that started these reflections had as its main objective the comprehension about the relations between professional identity and police practices in order to go further in the understanding of Police and Society’ relations.Theoretical questions were devoted to the comprehension of the police identity while the empiric context, centered in the DF, during 2011 and 2012, was oriented by the analysis of police practices captured through the analysis of the social representations.
