An encounter with the past

repairing the persecuted by the military dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985)

Abstract

The article seeks to analyze the public events of symbolic repair of the persecuted by the military dictatorship (1964-1985), by paying attention to the speeches made by different actors involved in that process. As a methodological strategy, in addition to the observation of events, the text makes use of the analysis of official, news and specific web pages about the topic. These moments produce moral and symbolic content, as well as views on the recent past of brazilian history.
