FOR A HISTORICAL ANALYSIS OF INTERPRETATIONS OF TRANSITION.

Abstract

The article proposes some questions in order to guide an historic research on academic
production about Brazilian dictatorship’s last years and, particularly, about the transition to
the civil regime. Our central hypothesis is that the positions taken by specialists in the debate
about transition have important connections with those positions occupied by political agents and social groups that acted with intensity in that context, which means, the ways of seeing and the practices of power were articulated.
