ON THE TRACKS OF POETRY AND CANTORIA DE VIOLA NORDESTINA: MEMORIES OF THE POET AND CANTADOR ALBERTO PORFÍRIO

Abstract

The book "Autobiography: it's life and Works in prose and verses", written by the poet singer of Ceará, Alberto Porfírio da Silva (1926-2009), the present work intends to reflect on its initiation process and aspects of the maturation phase that have made part of the way trod in the singing of viola northeastern. Each singer experienced this process in a unique way, so that it was reflected in its trajectory, as well as in the trajectory of the art itself. Through the poet's narrative, one intends to perceive how one constructs himself, projects himself as an artist in the search for space / recognition in the context in which he lived and in posterity.
