Abstract

To provide the academic community, and the general public, with a Dossier in
Religions and Religiosities will always be an opportunity to demonstrate the privileged place and inescapable of the sacred in social life. For, as demonstrated in the classics of history sociology, to speak little, religions have been a special and the interpretative exercise of the forms of mentality, ideological constructions, and norms and values inherent to the earthly field, or profane, while pointing to the divine, the ethereal, or supernatural. And it is in this human terrain where the sacred is built, that we seek varied contributions in the works of the most diverse historiographic approaches and of religious themes without restrictions of geographical or temporal character. It surpasses itself, here, the search for the current debate and the theoretical-methodological contribution in the of the religions in the historiographical field, however, without disregarding the breadth and dialogue with the other areas of the humanities and social sciences, which is already of practice in the best historical studies that have penetrated the beliefs and religions.
