Notas de Teoria Política Contemporânea sobre Dissertação que visou a Avaliar o Ministério Público Resolutivo como Política Pública Institucional de Promoção da Democracia Substantiva em Sede de Proteção ao Patrimônio Cultural

Abstract

This research evaluates a concrete object or phenomenon, precisely, the contemporary political theories that supported the dissertation presented by this writer, as a condition for her master’s degree qualification. It is a summary of her dissertation, from the point of view of some theories discussed in the discipline of Contemporary Political Theory, which is part of the curriculum of the Professional Master's in Public Policy, of the State University of Ceará (UECE). Initially, this article identifies the Public Prosecutor's Office in the past and in the present, that is, it registers the change of panorama of this institution, which ceased to be an agent of the Crown and began to acquire the feature of agent of the Public Administration. Nowadays, this institution assumes an essential function of Justice and acts as an agent of civil society. The Public Prosecutor's Office has developed a particular theory, transmuted into a movement, embraced by the National Council of the Public Prosecutor's Office as an institutional public policy. This is the Resolutive Public Prosecutor's Office movement, which intends to act as a protagonist of civil society agendas, and which may eventually promote Substantive Democracy. In fact, this article seeks to contribute with Neo-Institutionalist and Marxist theories to understand the Resolutive Public Prosecutor's Office movement.
