Abstract

In this research, we will bring to light the problem faced by education workers, through which the health/disease relationship and the working conditions of teachers in the municipal education network of Sobral were analyzed. In order to achieve the proposed objective, bibliographic research and the valuable contribution of 90 teachers answering a questionnaire and 18 teachers participating in interviews were used as sources of information. The results of the statistical analyzes allowed us to detect that in the network there are indications of complaints associated with illness, as well as salary dissatisfaction, need to supplement extra income, pressure to meet learning goals, and mental illness (burnout syndrome, panic and/or high stress). But we also find a network where teachers say they are satisfied and motivated with their profession.
