Abstract
Pyometra is a uterine infection, characterized by the accumulation of purulent fluid in the uterine lumen. Reports of pyometra in elderly dogs and cats are common, but rarely reported in wild felines. It is also believed that cystic endometrial hyperplasia influences the development of endometrial polyps, which are rare findings in wild felines. This work aims to describe the resolution of a case of pyometra through ovariohysterectomy and report the histopathological characteristics of an endometrial polyp in an ocelot. To the authors' knowledge, this is the first report in the literature of pyometra and the presence of an endometrial polyp in an ocelot
