Abstract

In the course The Hermeneutics of the Subject (ourse given in 1981-1982), Michel Foucault presents the care Roman philosophers of Classical Antiquity taught their students to have with themselves and with others. Friedrich Nietzsche writes that he takes inspiration from the Romans for the teachings given by Zarathustra to his students. This research presents connections between the care of converting to oneself and saving oneself in Roman culture and Zarathustra's teaching on redemption, articulating the concept proposed in Friedrich Nietzsche's philosophy and the concept taught by Michel Foucault.

Leonardo Souza dos Santos, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo

Graduation in Music (qualification in piano) from Faculdade Santa Marcelina (FASM) in 2016 with a monograph on the relationship between music and Espinosa. Bachelor's and Master's in Philosophy from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC / SP) in 2019. Degree in Philosophy from the Centro Universitário Claretiano in 2020.
