Abstract

This article aims to analyze the perspectives of the Tremembé indigenous community in the municipality of Itarema-Ce regarding the invasion of the company Ducoco Agricola in part of their territory intended for planting coconuts, the raw material for products exported by the company. Bearing in mind the historiographical situation of the native peoples of Brazil and the processes of erasure and historical subalternization, the research consists of using the methodologies of Indigenous History in the argumentation and the use of oral records from the Tremembé themselves around their history. Thus promoting a narrative and the use of sources that diverge from traditionalism, problematizing the invaded people's view of their historical realities based on their recorded collective experiences.
