ANALYSIS OF HISTORICAL PARADIGMS OF THE 19TH CENTURY (POSITIVISM, HISTORICISM AND MARXISM)

The 19th century is marked by very important events that affect the maturation of history as a science. From the great influence of the Comte’s thought, in 1830, who stood out in the formation of the Human Sciences with a universalist character, named Positivism; the German Historicism that had already emerged at the beginning of the 19th century, but which reached its peak in the second half of this century; and, finally, Dialectical Historical Materialism and class struggle, a new historical vision, providing a revolutionary perspective by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. In addition, it will be necessary to incorporate the scientific historiography and its links to the Brazilian school discipline as a final discussion, also serving to guide the discipline of Theory and Methodology of History I, at the State University of Vale do Acaraú.
