Occurrence of the Dark-billed Cuckoo in the South of Minas Gerais, Brazil

The dark-billed-cuckoo, Coccyzus melacoryphus, is a migratory bird, which includes, on its route, the south of
Minas Gerais. Although the south of the state of Minas Gerais is ornithologically well studied, the species had not
yet been recorded for the region. The record was obtained in the municipality of Lavras and aims to report the
first record of Coccyzus melacoryphus in the ornithological literature of the region.
