IN VITRO CULTURE OF PREANTRAL FOLLICLES: MAIN REGULATORY SUBSTANCES, SIGNALING PATHWAYS AND ADVANCES IN MURINE, BOVINE, SHEEP AND GOAT SPECIES
Keywords:
Folliculogenesis, receptors, cell signalingAbstract
The regulation of folliculogenesis is a complex process regulated by several intra- and extraovarian factors. The response of ovarian cells to the stimulus produced by these factors depends on the transduction of signals within the cells through various signaling pathways. The interaction between the various cellular signaling pathways and the constant discovery of new pathways demonstrate the complexity of this process. This review aims to describe the main regulatory factors of folliculogenesis, their receptors and cell signaling pathways, highlighting the points of interaction between them. In addition, a critical analysis of the main results obtained with the in vitro cultivation of murine, bovine, goat and sheep ovarian follicles, taking into account the substances present in the culture media used and the probable cellular signaling pathways used, is presented in this paper. revision.
