The importance of the necropsy in the investigation of a non-clarified death in a dog: case report
Keywords:
Canine, Foreign body, Penetrating traumaAbstract
Foreign bodies are frequently ingested by small animals, representing a common cause of accidents and deaths in dogs. Here we described a case of an obscure death, found to be caused by an accidental ingestion of bone, generating severe hemorrhage and systemic complications, in which the necropsy, ultimately, had a crucial role to stablish the cause of death, understanding the main processes and providing the necessary tools for its study.
