Dental overgrowth and malocclusion in guinea pig (Cavia porcellus)

Dental overgrowth and malocclusion are a common problems in the clinic of rodents raised as companion animals. A guinea pig was attended in a private clinic with clinical signs compatible with dental overgrowth and malocclusion, condition that was diagnosed by radiography. Despite attempts at treatment, the animal was affected by many relapses and was euthanized.
