Fibroepithelial hyperplasia is a condition that is characterized by the growth of one or more mammary glands in cats, caused by the proliferation of the ductal epithelium and the stroma of the glands. It is related to the homone-dependent factor to the endogenous and exogenous progestogens that cause the lesion. Feline mammary hyperplasia is unique pathology to cats. Clinical signs are characterized by massive enlargement of the mammary glands, which are firm, painless and non-inflammatory, and may become infected or necrotic. The present study aimed to describe the etiological, epidemiological, clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of feline mammary hyperplasia.
