PROTEASE EXÓGENA: EFEITOS NA SAÚDE INTESTINAL E DESEMPENHO EM AVES E LEITÕES DESMAMADOS

Resumo

O uso de enzimas exógenas é uma das estratégias alimentares utilizadas na nutrição de animais não ruminantes. A protease exógena é fundamental para garantir maior e melhor aproveitamento de fontes vegetais proteicas utilizadas em dietas para aves e suínos. Associado a isto, a menor presença de nitrogênio nas excretas e fezes dos animais também deve ser levada em consideração, em função do aumento na eficiência do processo de digestão e de absorção dos nutrientes proteicos. Além disso, a mantença da saúde intestinal tornou-se uma estratégia essencial para garantir melhor desempenho animal. Neste contexto, o melhor aproveitamento das proteínas no intestino delgado seguido de redução da proteína fermentável no intestino grosso é considerado um efeito benéfico promovido pela ação da protease, pois reduz o teor de substrato para ação de bactérias patogênicas, garantindo uma microbiota saudável e eficiente. Diante do exposto, o objetivo deste estudo foi apresentar as principais ações da protease exógena utilizada na nutrição de aves e leitões desmamados, bem como seus efeitos na saúde intestinal e desempenho animal.
