Approaches and deviations from the central spelling of the gender debate

Abstract

This article aims to approach the historical and philosophical importance of discussing gender, especially in the female situation. In order to do so, it will be followed, in this order, to mark approximations and departures in the epistemic and methodological scope of his works, the one proposed by Scott, Beauvoir, Butler, Benhabib and Fraser. Concluding that the theory of this latter can be used as a path between universalisms, operating in everyday resolutions, and postmodern analyzes, mediating the debate on redistribution and recognition. A frame of the Brazilian situation will also be considered, in order to contextualize geo-culturally the problematic in question, even if initially.

Gustavo Ruiz da Silva, Universidade de São Paulo - USP e Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo - PUC

Graduando em Filosofia (Universidade de São Paulo) e em Ciências Sociais (Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo). Foi bolsista PIBIC de Iniciação Científica, tendo-a terminado em seu estágio internacional de pesquisa na Sciences Po Paris. Atualmente é membro do Grupo de Pesquisa Michel Foucault da PUC/SP - CNPq.
