Man and the world: a brief introduction to Sartrean ontology

Abstract

The present work aims to present, in general terms, the way in which the French philosopher Jean - Paul Sartre (1905 - 1980) reflects the existential condition of man and the world, as well as the relation between these two dimensions, thought by the author as antinomics. To do so, I will use as a nodal reference the work Being and Nothingness (1943), where Sartre presents this condition in ontological terms: man appears by means of the para category, the absolute denial of the predications of Being and, paradoxically, a Perpetual search for the same predicates (escape from Being to Being); And the world as in-itself, static, where Being and existing coincide.
