Thus, this study aims to analyze and reflect on the potential of using manipulative teaching materials in mathematics education, diagnosing the impact of these materials and their importance in making mathematics teaching more meaningful, contextualized, and engaging. To achieve this objective, a bibliographic analysis was conducted, referencing authors such as Lorenzato (2008; 2009), Passos (2009), Rêgo and Rêgo (2009), Sarmento (2010), and Barreto (2014), among others. The study highlights that the intentional use of these materials facilitates the understanding of abstract concepts, sparks students' interest, and promotes a more concrete and contextualized learning experience. Additionally, these resources encourage the development of essential skills such as logical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking, strengthening students' connection with mathematics.
2025-12-03T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2025 GPOSSHE notebookshttps://revistas.uece.br/index.php/CadernosdoGPOSSHE/article/view/16736Early Childhood Education and its colors2025-11-30T09:56:13-03:00Valmir Rogério Torres vrtorres@estudante.ufscar.br
This paper aims to discuss data regarding the race/color of children enrolled in Early Childhood Education, using analysis of the School Census, which highlights the invisibility of Black children, the drive for whitening, and the shocking failure to recognize the race/color of babies and children upon school enrollment. It was also possible to analyze some children's stories that contain racist concepts and situations at their core, stories commonly found in our schools. Given this perspective, we conclude on the need to value and recognize the race/color of our babies and children, as well as to examine children's stories with a critical eye, identifying those that generate or reinforce racist and prejudiced attitudes.
2025-12-03T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2025 GPOSSHE notebooks
